NGỮ PHÁP (GRAMMAR)
I)The present simple:

We use the present simple to talk about:
1.a routine or a habit.(thói quen)
EG: I go to Dalat every month.

2.facts which stay the same for a long time:
EG:I have a friend who lives in London. She works in a museum.

3.sth which is always true.(1 điều luôn luôn đúng)
EG: Ice melts when you heat it.

II)The present continuous

1.sth which is happening at the moment of speaking. (1việc đang xảy ra)
EG:Sam is playing football now.

2.a changing situation (tình hình thay đổi)
EG: Life is getting better and better.

3. Complaint about an annoying habit. (than phiền về 1 thói quen gây khó chịu)
EG: Tom is always forgetting English homework.

III)Verbs not normally used in the continous form.
1. Verbs of the thoughts and feelings(ĐT của sự suy nghĩa, cảm xúc)
*Feel, like, dislike, hate, prefer, want, believe, know, belong to, need, see, seem, think.

2. Sometime these verbs have 2 meanings, and we can use the continuos form.
EG: Feel+Gerund:want to mention SO’s health or mood
See+Gerund: to have a meeting with SO.

3.Some verbs of our senses(sight, taste, hearing,etc)( ĐT giác quan:thị/vị/thính giác)
*smell, hear, taste, sound, see.

IV)The past simple.

We use the past simple:
1.to talk about a completed action in the past, often with a time reference. (1 hành động đã kết thúc trong quá khứ, thường đi kèm thời gian)
EG: Yesterday morning, the car broke down on the motorway.

2.to tell people about past events and to tell stories.(kể sự việc đã xảy ra trong quá khứ, hoặc kể chuyện)
EG:We unlocked the door quietly, went into the room and began to look for clues.

3.with the past continuous to talk about an action which interrupted another.(1 sự việc đang diễn ra trong quá khứ, bỗng có 1 hành động/sự việc ngắn xảy ra làm gián đoạn)
EG:When I was having dinner, the bell rang

V) Linking Verb:
Cấu trúc: Linking Verb +Adjective.
Linking Verb bao gồm các ĐT sau: look, smell, taste, sound, feel, seem, get, appear, etc.
EG: You look beautiful.
